They are designed in a way that permits the entry and exit of personnel and materials in GMP flow paths.<br \/>\nHumidity, pressure, temperature and air purification are completely controlled by special equipment.<br \/>\nPipe work, light fittings, ventilation points and other services are designed and sited to avoid the creation of recesses that are difficult to clean.<br \/>\nDrains are of adequate size and designed and equipped to prevent back-flow.<br \/>\nAn HVAC system is installed in the veterinary plant, with pressure gradients across the facility to ensure adequate segregation and control of cross-contamination between the different production areas on the site. There is an air handling unit for each of the powder and the liquid production lines, each equipped with three filters ending with HEPA filters. There is also a dust collection system and dust filters in the powder lines. Deionized water and UV treated water is produced in this unit according to pharmacopoeial specifications; the capacity of this unit is 18 m3\/day.
